What Is Telemedicine? Can it Help You?
Wow, the world has changed very quickly. We went from bopping down to the neighborhood grocery every few days to buying food in bulk and hunkering down for weeks. Instead of heading over to the community tap for a drink with a few friends, we’re picking up beer and food from the curb, and chatting over Zoom. And while we used to shake hands with the neighbor when we were out walking the dog, now we cross the street when we see them coming and wave through our gloved hands and masked face.
This change has also impacted our health. We can no longer get to our regular massage, chiropractic or acupuncture appointments. The salon where we get our hair and nails done has closed its doors. We can’t go to the gym to get our exercise, so we’re spending more time on the couch. And our diet has shifted to more processed foods that will keep in our cupboards for longer.
Video Herbal Consultations
And this is where telemedicine comes in. You’ve still probably got all the same health issues you had before this whole thing started – as well as a few new ones stemming from our new lifestyle. But your favorite health practitioner has closed her doors. And you don’t necessarily want to head to your doc’s office; someone in the waiting room could infect you.
So instead, chat with your health professional via video from the comfort of your own home.
We at Dragonfly have started doing just this. We get on a Zoom call with a patient and talk about their issues. They get the help they need while everyone stays safe.
